Full Description

"Situated at the highest point on the south-east corner of Eilean Orasaidh, the remains of this small cairn measure 1 metre in diameter and stand to a maximum height of 0.25 metres. Location and form suggests that this structure is a navigation cairn positioned to aid boats manouvering through the straits to the south of Eilean Orasaidh. Many other similar cairns may be seen around the shores of Lewis including (8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 and 8.5) in the Cromore area." (Burgess 2004, 123)
