Full Description

"Situated between Cnoc Dubh to the south and the southern end of the Rodh to the north several areas of feannagan may be seen running from north to south and from east to west. This area of cultivation is located to the east of the main concentration of field systems (42.1 and 42.5) located on the east side of Cromore, and are also beyond the area formalised by enclosing walls (42.2 and 42.4). This suggests that they are either part of a different system, possibly of an earlier date, or that they represent a period of cultivation when shortages were occuring which demanded that ever more marginal land was cultivated as a result." (Burgess 2004, 132)
