Full Description

"Situated at the western summit of Grianan Mor, the remains of this cairn measure 0.8 x 0.7 metres and stands to 0.3 metres high. With good views of much of the southern shore of Loch Erisort, the form and location of this marker suggests that it was originally constructed for navigation purposes. Close examination suggests, however, that there may be an early cairn, covering an area of approximately 2 metres in diameter situated on the same site. If this is the case then this earlier feature may well date to the prehistoric period, forming part of the group of cairns (2) seen primarily on Eilean Chalium Cille to the north." (Burgess 2004, 134)
