Full Description

"Situated on the eastern side of the isthmus of land between Camas Thormaid and Loch Cromore this feature is formed of several natural boulders capped with a stone slab. Its purpose is not apparent, though it may form a well or naturally capped spring, perhaps to provide water for stock in an area where both of the adjacent lochs are tidal and therefore brackish or salty. Sheiling (45.8) is located ca 14 metres to the south." (Burgess 2004, 153)
