Full Description
"Situated on the high ground between Loch Beag an Tanga and Loch na Muilne, to the south of Torastay, the remains of this enclosure measure 5 x 4 metres and are orientated from west to east. The surviving remains seem to be sub-rectilinear in form, consisting primarily of heavily tumbled drystone, and are constructed on the north side of a disused field wall or dyke (42.15) that links the two lochs together. Such enclosures have been seen elsewhere in the Lochs area and seem to form part of the stock management system that may date back to the medieval period or before. They are generally constructed in prominent locations attached to field walls and are presumably to allow for the gathering and concentration of stock prior to their movement from one grazing area to another."
