Full Description

"Running for 20 metres from north to south across the valley that links Loch Mor na Tanga to Loch Beag na Tanga the remains of this dyke or dam are constructed of turf with a stone face on its eastern side. This structure appears to form a secondary dam on the outflow from Loch Mor na Tanga between it and its smaller cousin to the east. This dam would presumably further help the control and management of the head of water feeding down through the lochs to the east to serve the two mills on River Torastay (49.1 and 49.2), and would have allowed for an even larger head of water to be stored in Loch Mor na Tanga." (Burgess 2004, 164-165)
