Full Description

V138 NB 18960 11035. Quarried area c. 10 x 8m cut into hillside to depth of c. 3m containing roofless concrete structure c. 5 x 3m. About 10m to west of structure on high point (at NG 18949 11047), large boulder may be possible component or centre of stone circle.

Site visited due to planning application, quarrying and hut still extant. There is no stone circle at this location. The site stands out as the area has be farmed and grazed; the surrounding heather covered landscape has numerous other mounds & boulders of natural formation.
