NB23SW 74 centred on 234 347

An extensive system of head-dykes which runs roughly N-S from NB 229 368 to NB 225 328 is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 18). It adjoins two other systems of head-dykes to the S (NB23SW 49) and to the N (NB23NW 81).
Some lengths of head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
