A farmstead, comprising one unroofed building and two enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 25). One unroofed building and two enclosures, one of which is a sheepfold, are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).

This farmstead is located in a high position on the south side of a prominate hill, beneath an exposed rock outcrop. It comprises of three attached structures. Two oval ended blackhouse type structures located on sloping ground to the SW which abutt a rectangular house on a higher level area of ground to the NE. The rectangular house has roughly coursed rubblework with quoins. There are centrally located entrances to NE & SW elevations, the SW giving access to to one of the blackhouse type structures. There are extensive lazy beds around these buildings and down to the shore.
A large rectangular enclosure is located on the west side of the hill with a smaller structure on a raised area to the south, possibly a corn drying kiln.
