What may be a single roofed shieling-hut is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1854, sheet 18). One unroofed building which may be a shieling-hut is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).

Single sub square sheiling of stone and turf construction (2.5 x 2.5m), located in a raised position in the lee of large outcrop of natural rock, entrance to the east. Old peat cuttings evident towards the loch.
