What may be a single unroofed shieling-hut and one enclosure are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1854, sheet 18). This site lies within a system of head-dykes (NB24SW 60) centred on NB 218 412.
The shieling-hut and enclosure are also shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).

Sheiling type structure is located on a raised area to the north of the enclosed field system. It comprises of a circular grassy mound with a concave centre with some internal stones. Probable entrance to east and two upright stones located 2m to the west (NB21370 39829). Field system comprises of a well preserved lazy beds enclosed by a boundary wall of earth and stone.
