What may be two unroofed shieling-huts are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1851, sheet 20), but they are not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1972).

There are no obvious signs of any sheilings in this area; however there are several prominent natural mounds that may have been used as locations for turf built structures.
