A township, comprising eleven unroofed buildings annotated 'ruins' and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1852, sheet 15). The site of the township has been incorporated into the large crofting township of Griais, but two unroofed buildings and what may be part of the head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1991).
