A township, comprising three unroofed buildings annotated 'ruins', three enclosures and a head-dyke are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1852, sheet 15). The site of the township has been incorporated into the large crofting township of Griais, but two enclosures and what may be part of the head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1991).

The ruins of two buildings,both with outshots are clearly visible in current AP's and are located adjacent to road; also visible are a head-dyke, both enclosures and large areas of feannagen.
