NB44SE 46.01 4840 4060 Buildings
A large crofting township, comprising forty-nine roofed buildings, one of which is a smithy, one partially roofed building annotated as a school, six small unroofed buildings and a crofting field-system is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1852, sheet 15). The site of the township has been enlarged with seventy-two roofed, two unroofed buildings and a field-system are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1991).
