A township, comprising fifty-five roofed buildings, five of which are annotated Mill (Corn) (NB24NE 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15) , two partially roofed buildings, seventeen unroofed buildings, one of which is also annotated Mill (Corn) (NB24NE 16), five unroofed structures and over sixty enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis Ross-shire 1853, sheet 8). It is overlain by the present crofting township as shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
