NB53SW 23 c.5314 3447 and c.5325 3450
NB c.531 343 A Chain Home radar station on NW slopes of Cnoc na Cro'.

This Chain Home Radar Station is visible on post-war RAF vertical air photographs (106G/Scot/UK 103, 3035-36, flown, 19 May 1946) situated in an area of rough ground on the lower slopes of Cnoc na Cro' about 150m SE of Westend Cottage (NB 5309 3467). The two masts are at NB c.5314 3447 and NB c.5325 3450 with the transmitter/receiver block at the base and two areas of huts centred at NB 5315 3460 and NB 5295 3440. That at NB 5295 3440 is annotated on the OS 1:10000 map (1992) as 'Camp Site (disused)'. What may be the generator house is situated on the E side of the road about 300m SW at NB c.5283 3431.

No remains of this radar station could be found on the date of visit, ground evidence suggests the site has been completely cleared away.
