NB 001 293. A Chain Home Low radar station on the NW slope of Druim Grunavat.
Information from Mr I Brown, November 1998

The WW II Chain Home Low Radar Station is situated on the E side of the road, N of Islibhig near Aird Feinis. The engine room, radio building with a mast base and many hut bases are still extant. The blast walls which enclosed the radar hut and scanner tower base were also visible on the date of visit. In addition a stanby-set house, Identification Friend-and-Foe building with mast base, air-raid shelters and a light anti-aircraft emplacement were also noted.
The North of Scotland Water Board are building a structure within the radar station area.

This site was as described in the NMRS. Pole 35 is 15.5m west of a blast wall enclosure which stood, entirely intact, to 2.5m in height and was constructed of keyed-in mortared basalt blocks and concrete. This feature measured 18m north to south and 8m east to west and at the time of the visit was in use as an animal pen. A small, 3m high blockhouse measuring 8m east to west and 4m north to south stood 5.12m from the south end of the blast walls.
