Full Description

Balds map of 1805 depicts a settlement with a larger house attached to two enclosures at this location. This building is annotated 'Mansian House'.

This building currently appears as the main house, comprising of two houses joined at a gable end. This Iis most clearly seen along the northern elevation and is highlighted by the differing ridge levels. The southern most building is three bay, 1.5 storey house , with roof dormers. Pitched slated roof with gable end chimney stack. Square headed openings to windows and central door opening. Building has under gone numerous modifications. This is likely to be the earlier building. Northern gable end is attached to the later house.
The northern most building is a three bay, two storey house. Pitched slate roof with chimney stacks to gables. This building has under gone numerous modifications.
Both buildings have significant later attached additions along there southern elevations and there are numerous ruins and an 'L' byre to the south, which make up former farm buildings and enclosures.
This complex of buildings would benefit from a building survey to confirm the phasing of these structures.
