A watching brief was commissioned by DERA Hebrides Ranges in 2000.
NMRS MS/1062

NF 099 991 A watching brief was undertaken as a condition of Scheduled Monument Consent on minor remedial works to an emergency reservoir. No undisturbed archaeological levels were affected, but a number of residual artefacts dating from the pre-1930 occupation of the village were recovered, including imported and locally made ceramics, and fragments of a stone vessel and a stone tool.
