Full Description
NMRS REFERENCE:
Architect: Alexander Ross (I.C. June 22, 1876)
REPORT DATE: 18/01/2005
This record is recorded as a Post Office, whether this is an error or just refers to a later use of the building is unclear. The buildings and structures on this site are depicted on the 6" 1st ed Ordnance Survey sheet circa 1880 and are annotated 'School (Boys & Girls)'. The reference to Alexander Ross also refers to the building of this school in 1876. A new school situated further to the west was opened in 1895 (see SMR.13645).
Current AP's show that the main building has been demolished but the enclosing boundary wall with central division and small building to the south remain as ruins.
