Situated on the east side of the summit of Rhuban, the late Victorian church of St Michael's (Roman Catholic) is orientated from south-west to north-east which is an apse it is constructed of stone and mortar and measures 23 x 10.5 metres, is situated within its own stone walled enclosure and has a more recent prebytery attached to its west side. The bell of one of the German cruisers, SMS Derflinger scuttled in Scapa Flow during 1919 is hung within the larger enclosure.
