The ST. GEORGE, Inman, from Antigua to Liverpool, was stranded on the west side of South Uist, Long Island, Lewis's, on 9th ult.

NMRS, MS/829/71 (no. 6020).

(Classied as West-Indiaman: no cargo specified, but date of loss cited as January 1819). This vessel was wrecked on the West side of Lewis.

The map sheet assigned to this record is arbitrary. The recorded intended route of the vessel suggests that the stranding took place on the Atlantic coast of the island, rather than within the Minch.
Whittaker suggests that the vessel was stranded on the W side of Lewis.
