CHARLES & ELLEN, three-masted schooner, of Barrow, Renney, from Iceland for Chester, in ballast, drove ashore from her anchorage at Lochmaddy, during a terrific SSW gale yesterday (Oct. 1). The vessel is lying on her beam ends on a rock and is likely to become a total wreck: crew saved. (Lochmaddy, North Uist, Oct. 2, 8 p.m.).
