Shiant Islands/Na H-Eileanan Mora [name centred NG 42 97].
20 June 1866, FAIRY QUEEN, 17 tons, of Wick, total loss, departed Scalpa [Scalpay] for Stornoway, carrying herrings, foundered in the Minch, one mile east from Ru Ushenish, and eight miles north-east from Glass Lighthouse.

Stornoway, 23rd June. The FAIRY QUEEN (smack), of Wick, McDonald, from Scalpa [Scalpay] to this place, with herrings, sprung a leak in a heavy sea 20th June, and [Record received incomplete].
NMRS, MS/829/68 (no. 2318).
(Classified as smack, with cargo of herring: date of loss cited as 20 June 1866). This vessel foundered in the Minch, 1 mile E of Ru Ushenish, 8 miles NE of Glass lighthouse.
