28 May 1877, BULL DOG, 9 yrs old, of Stornoway, wooden lugger, 8 tons, 9 crew, Master A. McIver, Owner K. Smith, Stornoway, departed Vassay Island, Hebrides, for fishing, in ballast, 9 lives lost, wind NW5, foundered, Gallan Head, Island of Lewis, Hebrides.
