6 July 1876, REBECCA, 10 yrs old, of Stornoway, wooden fishing lugger, 14 tons, 5 crew, Master and Owner J. Crichton, Stornoway, anchored off Knock, near Stornoway, in ballast, collided into by AMPHITRITE and CROWN, both of Stornoway, wind SW7, at Knock, 4 miles ENE of Stornoway, Hebrides, North Minch.

(Registration number cited as SY 88 and classified as wooden lugger, in ballast: date of loss cited as 6 July 1876). This vessel was in collision and sank off Knock. Capt. Crichton.

The map sheet assigned to this record is arbitrary, and it may fall on NB42NW, NB43SW or NB42SE. The location of Knock cannot be established from the available map evidence. It was probably situated on Broad Bay (Loch a' Tuath).
