3 June 1897, MAGGIE REAICH, 15 years, not reg., wood lugger. 15 ton. 7 men. Master and owner J. Geddes, Port Gordon, Banffshire. Stornoway to fishing. Ballast. Collided un-reg. Fishing lugger HELEN of Banff. 1 dead. Wind E5. 10 miles SSE of Bible Head, Lewis.

(Registration number cited as BF 57 and classified as lugger, in ballast: date of loss cited as 3 June 1897). This vessel was in collision and sank 10 miles SSE of Bayble Head.

The map sheet assigned to this record is derived from the location cited by Larn and Larn. Bible or Bayble Head is not noted on the 1997 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map but is probably to be equated with Pabail [names around NB 52 31].
