The CARLISLE, Scott, from Gottenburg for Liverpool, was lost on the 19th ult. on the Island of Lewis in Stornoway, on the Western Coast of Scotland.

(Classified as brigantine: no cargo specified but date of loss cited as 19 September 1790). This vessel was lost on Lewis. Capt. Scott. Route Gottenburg [Gothenburg] to Liverpool.

Whittaker cites no authority for his classification, and it is uncertain whether Stornoway was the place of loss, or merely of report.
