UNKNOWN, derelict, broken up on Sandeara [Sandray] Island, laden with paraffin oil, 100 casks saved, marked Black Brothers, Philadelphia, and N.W. in interlaced diamonds. Supposed to be a vessel, about 150 tons, at first nothing seen but a mast, afterwards the vessel broke up, and the wreck was strewed among rocks, ground to fragments. Found on the West side of Sandra [Sandray] and Watersay [Vatersay], Island of Barra, 8th January 1866.
