Full Description

NB53NE 8007 c. 567 356
N58 14.5 W6 8.8

NLO: Rubha Deas [name: NB 567 356]
Stornoway [name: NB 425 330].

(Registration number cited as WK 583 and name as Blue Bell; classified as steam drifter and date of loss cited as 22 May 1917). This vessel stranded near Stornoway and became a constructive total loss.
I G Whittaker 1998.

Material reported under RoW amnesty (2001):
A3421 1 instrument housing: from seabed.
(No accurate location or depth cited: name cited as Bluebell and location as Rubha Deas, Eye Peninsula, Isle of Lewis).
NMRS, MS/829/35.

The vessel named Bluebell that is cited in the RoW amnesty report as lost on Rubha Deas is probably to be equated with the vessel of the same that I G Whittaker (1998) records as stranding near Stornoway.
