16 August 1885, ERNST WILHELM, 22 yrs old, registered Germany, wooden barque, 345 tons, 10 crew. Master J. E. Girow, Owner E. W. Ohrloff and Son, Barth. Departed Newport, Mon., for Copenhagen carrying coal. Wind NW4, stranded Hartsmul Island, between Eriskay and S. Uist, Hebrides.
