Source: PP Abstracts Returns of Wrecks and Casualties on Coasts of the UK [record received incomplete].
NMRS, MS/829/67 (no. 650).

The map sheet assigned to this record is entirely arbitrary. The loss is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998) and the island of Vascay (or possibly Vascosay) cannot be located from the available map evidence. It remains uncertain whether the loss occurred to the W or E of Lewis, in the Atlantic or the North Minch respectively.
Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 8 September 2003.
