4 March 1851. EXILE of Aberdeen, schooner, pig iron morning, on the point of Holm. In beating out of Stornoway Harbour missed stays and went Stranded where she remained till the following tide, when she was assisted off and taken on the bank to be surveyed; her keel and bottom planks were found to be much chafed. Sustained great damage.

This vessel is not cited as lost by I G Whittaker (1998); she was presumably returned to service. Point of Holm cannot be identified from the available map evidence.
