Balronald, North Uist, 13th Jan. The HAYTI, Cuthbertson, of and from Westport to Liverpool, struck on a rock 11th inst., filled, and immediately sank; crew saved.

The map sheet assigned to this record is arbitrary and it may within the Little Minch, to the E of the island. There are several 'Balranald' place names in this area.
