NF77SW 8001 unlocated

North Uist, 3rd Apl., 3.43 p.m., the HANNAH G., Montgomery, which anchored on the W side of this island, 1st Apl., with loss of sails, has driven from her anchors during a heavy gale with high tides: she is on a sand beach, and it is expected she will keep together: no chance of getting her afloat.
Source: Shipping Intelligence, LL, No. 18,706, London, Monday April 6 1874.
NMRS, MS/829/70 (no. 4105).

The map sheet assigned to this record is arbitrary. Sandy beaches extend for considerable distances along the exposed western coasts of the Uists.
The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998).
