NLO: Heisker or Monach Islands (Theisgeir No Na h-Eileanan Monach): name centred NF 63 63.
[Extend onto map sheet NF56SE].
Dunvegan, Isle of Sky, 18th February. 'Intelligence has just been received of two vessels being wrecked on the Island of Heeskin [Hyskier] or Monah [Monach], west side of North Uist, one of the Lewis. It is said that their cargoes consist of West India produce'.
