Full Description

Structure F: A ruined building (possible shieling) liew on a large green mound adjacent to a rock outcrop at NB 12420 33165. It is oriented east - west, with the west edn wall formed by the vertical face of the rock outcrop. It measures 5m by 4m externally, and has two compartments or rooms, each measuring c. 2m x 2m internally. All the walls, including the dividing wall, area constructed of stone and covered in turf. The larger mound on which this structure is set measures c. 10m x 9m (east-west longest axis) and there is stone walling or possibly revetting visible to the south and east edges. This indicates the remains of an earlier structure
