Full Description

Possible settlement, the headland comprises of numerous clearance mounds over a wide area that are of a scale that suggest that structures were cleared and was not simply field clearance. Several outlines of former blackhouse style houses are visible in the ground. This area would benefit from a topographical survey. Neither the Ordnance Survey or Reids map depict any settlement at this location and this suggests a date earlier than the 18th century.
