Full Description
A section of old track way is visible as it descends an outcrop and crosses a boggy area, only to disappear again. It is very close to the west end of the defended settlement described below but there is no evidence to connect the two. It may be more likely to have originally been part of the track which can still be seen branching off the main modern one to the north, and if so probably later than 4.12. It is constructed of gravels of varying sizes providing a matric for large slabs of Gneiss, and/or surrounding outcropping bedrock.
