17. Kildonan, South Uist. NF 7252 2889
c.10m diameter, 0.2m depth of deposits. Surveyed June 1993, June 1994. Pasture/cultivation.
Pottery scarce - Late Neo/EBA (angled incisions 1cm long, possibly from a Food Vessel), Iron fragment, pumice, shell and bone. Some of the sherds have an orange/red exterior with angled incised decoration.

NF 7252 2889 Four test-pits suggest this mound was a focus for settlement in the Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age, with structural evidence and pits present. The settlement overlay soil horizons dating to the Early Bronze Age.
