Full Description
21. Kildonan, South Uist. NF 7265 2880
c.10m diameter, 0.3m depth of deposits. Surveyed June 1993, June 1994. Land ploughed in 1993, pasture in 1994.
No pottery. Struck flake (grey, igeous), shell and bone (some bone kept). Presumably Neo/EBA. This site and Kildonan 19 are probably those referred to in RCAHMS records as Sligeanach Kildonan NF 726 286. Settlement; middens; small finds.
Parker Pearson and Sharples
NB. In entry for Site 19 (SMR no. 14456) it is stated that it is Site 20, not Site 21, that is mentioned with Site 19 in the RCAHMS as Sligeanach Kildonan. R Barrowman 14 Dec 07.
