Full Description
32. Stoneybridge, South Uist. NF 7319 3334
c.35m diameter, c 1.5m depth of deposits. Surveyed June 1993, June 1994. Cemetery.
Moderate pottery from grave cuts - Early MIA (two rims, one with finger impressions under rim; sherd with 2 lines of stabbed dots). Bone and shell.
Balevullin style slab dot decoration on one sherd. This site was not cored (for obvious reasons). On top of the mound are two long rectangular turf enclosures, aligned north-south. The western one might be a house setting (c. 5m x 15m) but the other is larger.
