46: Frobost, South Uist, NF 7284 2570
c. 40m across, 3m depth of deposits, surveyed June 1995, pasture.
No pottery. Bone and shell, building stone.
Possibly part of Site 45 (SMR 14486)
Parker Pearson and Sharples
NF 72 25 On Frobost machair there are three large settlement mounds (Sites 45, 46 and 47). Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age pottery came from Trench 2, one of three small test trenches into Site 46.
