47: Frobost, South Uist, NF 7278 2544
c.25m diameter, 2m depth of deposits, surveyed June 1995, pasture.
No pottery. Bone and shell.
Parker Pearson & Sharples
NF 72 25 On Frobost machair there are three large settlement mounds (Sites 45, 46 and 47). Within Site 47 two test trenches failed to locate diagnostic material by a Middle Iron Age sherd was recovered from a rabbit scrape.
