Full Description

Site 53, NF 7305 2211
50-100m in extent, c. 0.4m deep
Within a scooped out amphitheater or bowl 100m N-S and 50m E-W. The midden layer, revealed by rabbit scrapes, appears to follow a contour wihtin the west and north sides of this depression. A small, still eroding blow-out has revealed stones. Many stones were taken from here, apparently, to build the cemetery wall in the 19th century. This is immediately north of the excavated house site.
