Cultivation
To the west of the village and to the south of Loch Garenin an area of rig and furrow may be seen facing west on the top of the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic. These rigs predated the last stages of agricultural activities within the village and use every available piece of ground skirting neatly around rock outcrops and cliffs. The rigs range in length from 18.0 metres to 31.0 metres and have an average breadth of 3.0 metres.
