Settlement
Situated in a sheltered valley immediately adjacent to the coast and surrounded by reasonable grazing land. This structure measures 9 m north-south by 5 m west-east. At the north end of this mound is a crcular cell or shieling measuring 2-2.5 m internally, to the south of this several other less distinct features or cells may be seen. While the mound appears to be largely of earth construction the cellular features appear to be drystone in nature. It is possible that this feature is a multi cellular shieling, though these are very rare in this area.
Field walking 28.3.95.
