Full Description

4.3 Bridge footing south
A 2 x 3m rectilinear raised lump, c. 1m high, has large well dressed stone around its base and eroding out of its north face, which is 1 - 1.5m away from the river.
4.4 Bridge footing north
A matching lump can be seen on the north side of the river, of the same dimensions. The river has encroached further towards this lump, and a wall of large well dressed blocks in two courses can be seen eroding into the river at its base. Some of these blocks can also be seen under the water in the river.
