Full Description

At NA 99226 25682 lay the remains of a blackhouse and attached side room, previously unrecorded. The blackhouse measured 13.7m north to south and 5m east to west, with the side room to the east measruing 5.6m square with a rounded southwest corner. While the walls of the side room stood up to 0.5m in height and 0.6m thick, of incompletely grassed-over gneiss boulders, the walls of the blackhouse were often barely apparent and no more than 0.2m high (except in the northwest corner which stood to 0.4m high). An internal division was apparent 5m from the north end of the blackhouse.
